The Exploration Academy is a Verona, WI, area charter high school with a mission to provide a flexible structure for students to determine their own direction for learning based on their individual passions, interests, and needs. In order to draw attention to the educational opportunities that the academy presented, their education website needed to make an immediate impact right from the site launch.
The Powderkeg website design was focused on positioning the academy as a unique and specialized learning environment, unlike that of a traditional high school. The Powderkeg team had to balance the navigational needs of the students and parents, while making it easy for a potential family to apply for the academy. The time frame from concept to site launch was very compressed, so the build process required a great deal of collaboration between Powderkeg team members and the client.
