With some new faces at Powderkeg like Annika, what better way to have an enjoyable team building exercise than to do an escape room after happy hour? The Powderkeg group took off to Escapology, a high end escape room with with a variety of themes – each with their own level of difficulty, fully expecting to take over #1 on the leaderboard as the quickest group to finish.
The theme for our room was “Lost City”. As modern day treasure hunters, we were tasked with solving a variety of clues and puzzles to retrieve the treasure from an abandon temple inside Lost City within 60 minutes.
We ran into a few hiccups along the way – Nick struggling to focus on the task at hand, Matt unable to hold the mirror steady while reflecting a laser beam, Dylan acting as if it’s actually life or death if we don’t finish this thing. But in the end, as expected, we finished in a time of 45 minutes and 45 seconds placing us 43rd on the leaderboard.
We are positive the next one will be even quicker!
